SUMMARY
Provides support to students and families in a school setting. Supports the work of teachers and other staff by facilitating effective communication between stakeholders when one or more parties require language assistance. Supports home school communication by assisting school staff in contacting and supporting families as needed.

- To support students and families in a school setting
- Ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures or backgrounds in English and other languages as appropriate
- To provide oral interpretation of all oral and written communications as necessary
- Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district personnel
- Other duties as assigned
Occasional supervision of individual students or small groups under the direct guidance of a teacher or educational technician III.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEExperience in working with school age children is desired.
Language Skills- Ability to read, write, understand and speak interpersonal and academic English proficiently
- Ability to communicate with people of all ages
- Ability to accept direction and collaborate with teachers and staff
- Ability to communicate with ELL Program staff and local school district staff through electronic mail and/or other means
- Ability to represent the school district in a professional manner at all times
Ability to calculate figures and amounts generally used in the student curriculum
