Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our Sleep Medicine team at Central Maine Medical Center
!

This is a Per Diem position.

At Central Maine Medical Center, our highly trained team – including board-certified pulmonologists, technologists and other sleep specialists – use proven tool and techniques to identify and treat a full range of sleep disorders.

We’re home to a full-service sleep center right here in Lewiston, with national accreditation by the Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Sleep Lab Coordinator the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for performing diagnostic testing and therapeutic treatment for patients with known or suspected sleep disorders, according to physician orders and approved protocols.

Education and Experience:

• Current Respiratory Therapist Licensure of the State of Maine.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification preferred
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification required.
• A minimum of one-year respiratory care is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to engage patients and team members utilizing the CMH Experience Standards
