Clinical Director Of Audiology

An exciting opportunity has arisen with one of the largest independent non-profit healthcare organizations in Maine. This organization is committed to expanding its audiology services and is looking for a Clinical Director of Audiology to help rebuild and lead this vital department. About the Organization:
This highly respected healthcare provider has been serving the state of Maine for years, specializing in home health and hospice care. Recently, the organization acquired a local audiology group and is now seeking a Clinical Director to rebuild and develop a strong, sustainable audiology department. Role Overview:
As the Clinical Director of Audiology, you will be instrumental in shaping and growing the department. Initially, the role will focus on providing clinical care while developing departmental protocols and culture. After establishing a strong foundation, you will transition into more leadership responsibilities, including hiring and managing a team of audiologists. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys blending patient care with leadership and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Care:
    Provide comprehensive audiology services, including hearing evaluations, diagnostics, and hearing aid fittings.
  • Leadership & Culture Development:
    Set the tone for a collaborative and patient-focused department, guiding protocols and training.
  • Business Development:
    Engage in vendor negotiations for devices and pricing, collaborate with other departments for patient referrals, and help drive business growth.
  • Team Building:
    Once the department is established, hire and manage a team of audiologists to scale the department.
  • Administrative

    Collaboration:

    Work with leadership to track performance, set goals, and report on departmental progress.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in audiology or similar healthcare leadership roles.
  • Strong clinical competency in audiology, with experience in training and managing others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
  • Business development experience, including working with vendors and manufacturers.
  • Passion for developing and growing a department within a mission-driven organization.
