Forklift Operator, Material Handler
Position Summary
Work schedule:
Monday – Friday 3:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and rotating Saturdays. Overtime may be required. The role involves forklift, picker equipment, scanning, and inventory control within a fast‑paced warehouse.
- Load, unload, and stock tires and auto parts using industrial vehicles such as forklifts or picker equipment.
- Use scanners to find and put away tires and assist with inventory control.
- Lift 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift and occasionally up to 80 pounds. When lifting commercial tires, perform team lifts or use mechanical equipment.
- When working with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires, exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds.
- Operate at storage racks up to 25 feet tall safely while operating equipment.
- Stay on the move, work on feet for extended periods, and work overtime as needed.
- Contribute to a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to all safety policies and operating procedures.
- Assist other departments such as e‑commerce, inventory, and will call depending on business needs.
- Perform other job‑related tasks or follow any job‑related instructions given by a supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodations.

Physical demands:
The employee must be able to lift and push heavy loads, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 80 pounds, and exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds. Handling commercial tires (rolling, destacking, team lifting) may require team lifts or mechanical equipment. Work also involves operating machinery at heights up to 25 feet.
Protective equipment:
Steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, safety harness, seatbelt, and self‑retracting lifeline. All equipment is provided except steel/composite toe boots. Team members must adhere to safety and manufacturing guidelines for all protective equipment.
Work environment:
Exposure to weather conditions at the time of duty; moderate noise levels; fumes from tires, car parts, and lubricants may be present.
- Must be 18 years or older to operate equipment.
- 1 year of warehouse/logistics or relevant experience.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally 80 pounds.
- Ability to exert pushing force of up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work at heights of 25 feet while operating equipment and maintaining safety standards.
- Abide by all company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations and manufacturing guidelines.
- Ability to pass forklift certification.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug test (no THC/marijuana test).
