Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a day shift position in Maine, requiring a ME or compact RN license and critical care background.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital emergency department setting
- Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 13-week assignment
- Care for a full spectrum of emergency cases, including patients in a dedicated Chest Pain Center
- Responsible for direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process in all areas of the emergency department
- Duties include initial and ongoing assessments, administering IV medications, therapies, and blood products, and patient education
- Required to comprehensively document care, teaching, observations, and patient responses
- Separate pay rates may apply for local candidates
- Active ME or compact RN license
- Minimum 1 year of emergency department nursing experience
- At least 1 year of previous critical care nursing experience required
- Certifications required:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Cannot have any previous employment with St. Mary’s
- Travelers with adverse actions on license or background will not be considered
