Position: Registered Nurse School Setting - Lewiston, ME
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a school nurse supporting an Extended School Year (ESY) program. This highly valued role is situated near Lewiston, ME, and offers three openings: one for a dedicated 1:1 nursing situation and two for general nursing needs within the school community. Designed for passionate Registered Nurses, the available positions serve elementary and middle/high school students, providing essential in-person care and contributing to a supportive educational environment.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of Maine
• Prior experience in a school setting is highly desirable
• Comfortable working with diverse student populations, including students with special needs
• Capability to respond to emergencies, administer medications, and document care accurately
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
• CPR/BLS certification required

Role Overview :

• Provide healthcare services to students during the ESY program (July 6 - July 30)
• 1:1 nurse: deliver individualized care and support as assigned
• General nurses: address everyday medical needs, minor injuries, medication administration, and health monitoring
• Work schedules:
  Monday-Thursday; general nurse (5 hours/day) and 1:1 nurse (4 hours/day)
• Elementary schedule: 9:00am-1:00pm, Middle/High School: 8:00am-12:00pm
• All positions are in-person only
