Job Description
Job Summary:
The LPN provides direct and indirect care to residents in a skilled nursing facility, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment. This role involves collaboration with the healthcare team to meet residents' individual needs across various units.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medication and treatments accurately according to care plans.
- Collaborate with registered nurses and other care providers to develop and implement resident care plans.
- Monitor residents' health status, report changes, and document care provided.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, mobility, and nutritional support.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and assist with accident/injury prevention.
- Float to different units as needed to support staffing needs.
- Valid Maine or compact State of Maine Licensed Practical Nurse license required.
- Associate degree in Nursing or graduation from an approved LPN program.
- 1-3 years of preferred RN/LPN experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including 24-hour coverage and unit floating.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
