Job Description
Job Summary:
The LPN is responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to residents in various care units, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet residents' individual needs and promote overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver nursing care to residents in designated units, including long-term and rehab settings.
- Utilize verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to effectively understand and address residents' behaviors and needs.
- Administer treatments such as wound care, IV therapy, and geriatric assessments as required.
- Document residents' conditions and care provided accurately in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Float between units as needed to ensure operational coverage and resident care continuity.
- Collaborate with care team members to develop and update care plans tailored to each resident.
- Hold an active Maine State or compact Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Possess 1-3 years of relevant nursing experience preferred.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Have basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).
- Be flexible to work 24/7 and adapt to different units and schedules.
- Be willing to work with residents with complex needs, including cognitive impairments.
