Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) – Emergency Department
Central Maine Medical Center | Lewiston, ME | Part-Time | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 12-Hour Shifts
The Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) partners closely with department leadership and serves as the acting leader in the absence of the Director or Manager. This role oversees staffing coordination, workflow management, patient care delivery, and staff support during the assigned shift while providing direct patient care as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical and operational oversight for the Emergency Department
- Supervise and support nursing staff during assigned shifts
- Ensure quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate staffing, patient flow, workflow, and department operations
- Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Support orientation, training, and staff development
- Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives
- Respond to emergency situations and support critical patient care needs
- Perform direct patient care as needed within RN scope of practice
Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 & 2 within 30 days of hire.
Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 30 days upon hire.
