Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Lewiston, Maine.

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Lewiston, ME. This role supports Labor and Delivery in a Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum (LDRP) model, caring for obstetrical patients through triage, delivery, and postpartum needs. The position requires demonstrated skills including External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), peripheral IV management, and support for both vaginal deliveries and post‑C‑section recovery. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

    Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (REQUIRED), Basic Life Support (BLS) (REQUIRED), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (REQUIRED)

• Preferred Qualifications
  :
  • AWHONN Intermediate training (preferred)
  • Experience in Level 1 Nursery, Mother/Baby, and circulating for C‑sections (preferred)
• Additional Information
  :
  • Manages triage of obstetrical patients and a 3‑couplet assignment
  • Uses External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) and supports initiation/maintenance of peripheral IVs
  • Assists with vaginal delivery and recovers C‑sections, including APGAR scoring and baby catcher responsibilities
  • Collects cord samples and completes /security banding
  • Supports radiant warmer/thermoregulation, newborn assessment, and postpartum care and procedures, including mother/baby (M/B) postpartum care
  • Assists with epidural anesthesia/pain assessment and management
  • Administers antihypertensives and insulin drips as needed
