Position: Registered Nurse, Part-Time - Brentwood Center for Women's Health

Position Summary

Registered Nurse – CWH Brentwood, Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Applies the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates pertinent information to the health‑care team and collaborates in establishing patient goals to evaluate progress and ensure successful outcomes.

Position Overview

Days only, 9‑hour shifts per week; no nights, no weekends, no holidays. 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate in establishing the plan of care, coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient needs across the continuum.
  • Analyze comprehensive patient information to determine nursing diagnoses.
  • Continuously evaluate patient progress toward goals, applying appropriate interventions to achieve effective outcomes.
  • Employ strategies to promote health and maintain a safe, healthy environment.
Technical Capabilities
  • Care Planning (Novice):
    Anticipate resource needs, identify tasks, set priorities, schedule activities, meet deadlines, and organize work within direct responsibilities.
  • Nursing Patient Education (Novice):
    Provide patient education in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
  • Nursing Patient Assessment & Evaluation (Novice):
    Conduct primary care patient interviews and examinations, gather pertinent clinical data, and recognize problems to coordinate care.
  • Evidence‑Based Practice (Novice):
    Search for evidence to answer clinical questions, working under direction to accomplish assignments.
Position Qualifications
  • Licensure:
    Licensed Registered Nurse (LIC) or equivalent.
  • Work Experience:

    1 year of relevant nursing experience.
  • Education:

    Graduate of an approved discipline‑specific program.
