Job Summary
The RN partners with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. Units include 3 East – a 31‑bed specialized unit for Alzheimer’s/dementia residents, focusing on verbal and non‑verbal communication and addressing behavioral manifestations as valid communication. Units also include the Transitional Rehabilitation Unit (42 beds) on the second floor of d'Youville Pavilion, offering short‑term skilled nursing and rehab services for patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other short‑term conditions.
The 3 West unit is a 42‑bed long‑term care unit providing home‑like care for residents requiring long‑term placement.
- Education:
Associate’s in Nursing and a valid State of Maine or compact RN license. - Experience:
1–3 years of previous RN experience preferred.
- Medical terminology proficiency.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team of care providers.
- Flexibility for 24/7 coverage and float to other units as needed.
