The RN and LPN partners with our residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care.
Units/Setting3 East: 31‑bed specialized unit working with Alzheimer’s/dementia residents, using verbal and non‑verbal communication techniques and understanding behavior as valid communication.
3 West: 42‑bed long‑term care unit providing home‑like environment for residents needing long‑term placement.
Transitional Rehabilitation Unit: 42‑bed unit offering short‑term skilled nursing and rehab services to patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other short‑term illnesses or injuries.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect nursing care in a long‑term care environment.
- Perform IV therapy, wound care, geriatric assessment, and management.
- Use verbal and non‑verbal communication techniques with dementia residents.
- Adapt to 24/7 coverage and float to other units as needed.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Valid State of Maine or compact RN license.
- 1–3 years prior RN experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and flexibility skills.
- Alternate combinations of education and experience may satisfy the requirements.
Day shift: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
