The Manager partners closely with physicians, nursing leadership, anesthesia teams, and hospital administration to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered perioperative care while supporting operational excellence and positive patient outcomes.

Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. • Oversee daily operations of Surgical Services and Peri-Anesthesia departments
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, productivity, and department performance
• Ensure high-quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and hospital leadership
• Lead quality improvement and performance initiatives
• Assist with budgeting, resource management, and operational planning
• Support staff recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current. A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.
• CNOR;
  preferred
  . Current ACLS (AHA) Certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certification for those facilities caring for pediatric population.
• At least two (2) years of experience in Surgical Nursing
