Description:
The RN partners with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment. Direct and indirect care will be provided to residents. The role includes working with residents with Alzheimer's and dementia, tailoring care to meet their specific needs. Verbal and non-verbal communication techniques will be utilized to address challenging behaviors. Understanding that these behaviors may be valid communications is essential.
The RN will provide care in a home-like environment for residents needing long-term placement. Skilled nursing and rehabilitation services will be offered to patients recovering from various conditions. Nursing services may include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management. An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates proficiency in these areas may be considered. This position may require flexibility to accommodate shift coverage.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work well within a team of other care providers.
