Job Description:

The RN partners with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care in post-acute and long-term care settings.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Alzheimer's/dementia residents on a specialized unit, using verbal and non-verbal communication techniques.
• Provide nursing and rehab services on a short-term Transitional Rehabilitation Unit.
• Deliver care on a long-term care unit for residents needing long-term placement.
• Perform nursing services such as IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.

Requirements:

• Associates in Nursing with a valid State of Maine or compact RN license.
• 1-3 years previous RN experience.
• Preferred:
  Medical terminology
• Required:
  
  Strong teamwork and communication skills, and flexibility to cover various shifts and float to other units as needed.
