The specialized unit works with residents with Alzheimer's/dementia, tailoring care to meet their needs. Key aspects of this unit include the use of both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques.

Understanding the difficult behaviors sometimes associated with Alzheimer's/dementia is crucial. These behaviors can serve as valid communications. Care is provided to residents needing long-term placement in a home-like environment. The transitional rehabilitation unit provides short-term skilled nursing and rehab services. Patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other short-term illnesses or injuries receive care here. Nursing services often include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.

A long-term care unit provides needed care to residents needing long-term placement in a home-like environment. Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.
