Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive emergency care to patients. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure timely assessment, intervention, and documentation of patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon admission and throughout their stay to identify immediate needs.
• Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood products as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and health management.
• Document nursing care actions, observations, teaching, and patient responses accurately.
• Assume charge nurse and preceptor roles as needed to support team functions.
• Maintain certification requirements including BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license with at least 1 year of recent ER experience.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of critical care nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in patient assessment, IV therapy, and emergency procedures.
• Be willing and able to work charge nurse and preceptor roles if required.
• Have current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Be able to pass background and license checks.
