Heavy Equipment Operator

ReSource Lewiston is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator

Under general supervision of Shift Supervisor, responsible for the safe operation and daily preventative maintenance of the assigned equipment (excavator, front-end loader; bobcat; yard tractor, etc.).

• Operate heavy equipment (excavator, front-end loader, etc.)
• Unloading of inbound vehicles, stacking, storing and feeding of C&D material
• Loading of outbound vehicles with recycled materials and residual waste
• Loading main process line in-feed conveyor and shearing bulky materials for processing.
• Management and stockpiling of all unprocessed and processed materials.
• Material transportation for processing.
• Site maintenance and construction including ditching for erosion control and surface water collection, etc.
• Seasonal maintenance.
• Performing maintenance and light repair of company-owned or leased mobile equipment.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Heavy Equipment Loader/Excavator.
• Must have the ability to exercise good judgment, be able to focus on detail as required by the job, as well as multitask.
• Work in a fast pace environment, construction or recycling preferred.
• Mechanical background as operator – will be performing service on the equipment.
• Must be able to work Monday – Friday with some Saturday shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical background a plus.
