Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Hydraulic Hose Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site hydraulic hose repair and replacement services to clients in industries such as construction, agriculture, mining, and material handling. You will troubleshoot hydraulic hose systems, fabricate hoses on-site, and ensure timely and professional service delivery to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Hydraulic Hose Repair and Replacement: Travel to client locations to assess, diagnose, and repair or replace damaged hydraulic hoses on heavy machinery.
- Hose Fabrication: Use mobile tools to cut, crimp, and assemble hydraulic hoses and fittings on-site based on the specific needs of the machinery.
- Troubleshooting: Identify hydraulic hose issues quickly and accurately, recommend appropriate solutions, and complete repairs efficiently.
- System Testing: Perform pressure testing to ensure the integrity of the hydraulic system after replacement.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and explaining repairs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including parts used and labor time.
- Preventative Maintenance: Advise customers on best practices for extending the life of their hydraulic hoses.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in hydraulic systems or mechanical repair. Experience with heavy equipment is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
- Certification: Relevant technical certifications in hydraulic systems or heavy equipment repair are preferred.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
