Heavy Equipment Technician

Located in Lewiston, Maine, Gendron & Gendron is a growing leader in the Commercial Construction industry seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. If you are skilled or mechanically inclined and looking to spend your day learning while working, Gendron may be the place for you.

• Install, maintain, and repair construction vehicles and equipment in industrial settings
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on construction vehicles and equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using knowledge of industrial mechanics
• General labor and job clean up – working at different heights
• Follow MSHA safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Rotate on call schedule, including days and nights

• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance
• Ability to log and inventory critical spare parts
• Previous welding experience in performing basic equipment repairs is beneficial but not required
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well with others or in a self‑directed environment
• Must be able to effectively interpret and retain information from any and all operating manuals to implement manufacturer recommendations
• The ideal candidate will come with their own tools
