Field/Service Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Installation Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Our Material Handling Group is currently looking for a full‑time Forklift Field Service Technician / Mechanic
. This position is first shift, M – F, and hourly (no flat rate). Field Technicians are provided a company service van, fuel card, and are responsible for company vehicle and onboard parts inventory.

- Perform preventive maintenance on customer forklifts and other material‑handling equipment
- Diagnose and repair all forms of customer equipment
- Complete each repair job in a timely, efficient and professional manner
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Work independently
- Maintain company vehicle and on‑board parts inventory
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Consistent, reliable attendance and readiness for work at the designated start time
- Previous forklift repair experience is highly desired, including experience in the Military, Guard or Reserve with an MOS or NEC code of 63B, 63H, 63S, 63W, 63Y, 91B, 91H, 91L, 91M or CM
- Working knowledge of electric schematics and ICE engines
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Possesses own tools
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license to operate company vehicle
- Language skills: ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Reasoning ability: apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; solve problems involving several variables
- Physically will stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands, talk/hear, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as required
- Lift 0–10 lbs regularly; 11–25 lbs frequently; 26–100+ lbs occasionally
- Frequent bending and working from a prone position (lying down under equipment) required
- Work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions
