Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a speech-language pathologist in a vibrant K-6 school environment near Lewiston, ME. This position begins August 24th and offers approximately 20 hours per week (with some flexibility), providing essential speech and language services directly on site.

You’ll manage a manageable caseload of 8-10 students, collaborating closely with school staff to enhance communication skills and promote student success. Skills & Qualifications
  • Hold active SLP licensure, or eligibility to obtain in Maine
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with kindergarten through grade 6
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to create individualized treatment plans and track progress
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with teachers, families, and allied professionals
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose students’ speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
  • Provide individual and small-group therapy sessions
  • Document and report progress per school and state requirements
  • Engage in regular consultation with teachers and parents to support student outcomes
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
