CTE - Business and Marketing Education

Lewistown Public Schools is seeking an energetic, passionate, High School Business Education Teacher to join a dynamic teaching team for the 2026-27 school year. The position will work at Fergus High School.  The business department and a very competive BPA program is well established and this opening is due to a retirement.  

The Business Education instructor will work closing with the Central MT CTE Academy Public Charter School which is in its first year of operation.  Fergus High School has a tradition of strong CTE Programs that are well supported by the community.

Lewistown is only 104 miles east of Great Falls, 124 miles north of Billings and 162 miles northwest of Bozeman.

Our school district consists of five schools.  Garfield Elementary is a Grade K-1 school which also has an Early Literacy Program for qualifying 4-year olds.  Highland Park Elementary hosts Grades 2-3 students.  Lewis & Clark is home to grades 4-6.  Lewistown Junior High contains the 7th & 8th grade students and high school students attend Fergus High School.  Our current enrollment is approximately 1150 students PK-12.

For the 2026-27 school year our teachers start at a minimum salary of $41,615 (2025-26 minimum salary) and we allow teachers to bring in up to five years of experience.  We are currently negotiating the 2026-27 collective bargaining agreement and a beginning teacher will start at a minimum of $42,864 to meet the STARS Act.
