Roles & Responsibilities   Monitor maternal and fetal well-being continuously and interpret fetal monitoring strips
Manage labor progression and perform cervical exams within scope
Assist with and prepare patients for spontaneous and operative deliveries
Administer medications safely and timely according to orders and protocols
Respond promptly and effectively to obstetric emergencies to optimize outcomes
Provide compassionate postpartum education and emotional support to families
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
Document care accurately and communicate changes in condition to providers
Qualifications   Current Montana RN license required
Experience in Labor & Delivery required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond to obstetric emergencies
Excellent patient communication and family-centered care skills
Knowledge & Skills   Fetal monitoring interpretation and trending
Cervical exams and assessment of labor progress
Assisting deliveries and preparing for operative deliveries
Medication administration and IV management
Postpartum education and newborn care basics
Emotional support, patient education, and clear communication
Quick decision-making in high-acuity obstetric situations
