Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shifts
This is a 13-week contract position.
3 twelve-hour night shifts per week.
The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, managing labor progression, assisting with deliveries, and responding to obstetric emergencies. This role requires strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills to provide emotional support to patients and families during pivotal moments.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout the labor and delivery process.
- Manage labor progression and assist in deliveries.
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies.
- Administer medications and perform cervical exams within scope.
- Interpret fetal monitoring strips and prepare patients for operative deliveries.
- Provide emotional support and postpartum education to patients and families.
- Promote a positive birth experience and ensure optimal outcomes for both mother and newborn.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must have experience in Labor & Delivery.
- Current Montana RN license required.
- Certification in NRP and BLS is required.
