Daily Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Preparing and organizing the operating room to facilitate surgical procedures
  • Maintaining sterile fields while adhering stringently to infection control measures
  • Assisting surgeons and surgical assistants by providing instruments and necessary supplies
  • Managing and caring for surgical equipment before, during, and after surgery
  • Ensuring a comprehensive inventory of supplies so that every operation is well-equipped
  • Collaborating seamlessly with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other surgical staff to promote effective care
  • Documenting surgical counts accurately to maintain patient safety
Education Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology training program
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Certifications

Required:
  • Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential is mandatory
  • BLS certification (or the ability to acquire it within 90 days of hire)
