Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with manufacturing industry experience to join a growing team in the Lewisville area. This role will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of cost accounting principles, and experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Support inventory and cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
- Monitor and analyze variances in production costs, materials, and overhead
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure accurate cost tracking
- Assist with process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with ERP systems used in manufacturing environments
- Exposure to inventory controls, bill of materials (BOM), and standard costing
- Experience supporting audits or financial reporting processes
