Position Summary
The PEIMS Clerk assists the PEIMS Coordinators and Manager in performing data entry for Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) submissions, and is responsible for verifying student enrollment, withdrawal, demographic, and attendance data and entering special program data into the RES Student Information System.
Qualifications Education/Certification- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of data entry experience
- PEIMS experience (preferred)
- K-12 experience (preferred)
- Strong data entry experience
- Ability to use systems and programs to develop spreadsheets and databases
- Proficient in keyboarding, and 10 key
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records.
- Ability to meet weekly deadlines.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the school staff.
- Ability to give attention to minute details.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Review campus attendance data in the Student Information System, and verify accuracy according to prescribed procedures
- Maintain the student records and process requests for student information. Verify student demographic data in Student Information System
- Update and maintain student records
- Work with campuses and other departments to maintain files and distribute all reports, records, and other required documents
- Analyze and monitor campus enrollment, withdrawal, and attendance procedures.
- Enter withdrawal and special program data into the Student Information System.
- Search state database (TEAL), for TSDS Enrollment information.
- Create any necessary Needs Lists for each school each week, and assist campus office staff as needed
- Follow up with the school secretary to see that necessary corrections are made
- Assist PEIMS Trainers/Coordinators/Manager to collect data for the district and state audits
- Be available to assist with special assignments during the year (i.e. PEIMS verifications, Attendance reports, Achievements, discipline, etc.).
