Project Manager, Operations Manager

The Project Manager manages key client projects. Responsibilities include coordinating and completing projects on time, within budget, and within scope. The role oversees all aspects of projects, sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors progress, summarizes status to upper management, works directly with clients to ensure deliverables meet scope and budget, and coordinates with other departments to ensure compatibility.

• Coordinate and direct all phases of the project/program, including RFP, order confirmations, sales orders, detailing, purchasing, production, delivery, and installation.
• Define complete project specifications and communicate customer expectations to the support team.
• Review strategic value‑engineering opportunities with customers for mutually beneficial cost savings.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and demonstrate technical manufacturing knowledge.
• Develop a project timeline for each project.
• Collaborate with the Production Scheduler to create launch cycles, monitor progress, and develop corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to secure on‑time, on‑budget material procurement.
• Participate in prototype development and review processes.
• Maintain advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables and V‑lookup functions, to analyze data and support decision‑making.
• Monitor production through physical reviews of work in process and labor/costing report data.
• Assist in developing corrective actions where needed.
• Manage project margins using specialized tools to keep projects profitable and within budget constraints.
• Provide shipping instructions and verify site off‑load conditions where applicable.
• Facilitate completion and review of customer inventory reports.
• Arrange outsourcing of production and services as capacity requires.
• Provide technical backup to Sales and Estimating teams as required.
• Visit manufacturing locations to review new products before primary manufacturing and shipments begin.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

This position does not have direct reports.

• Preferred experience with Epicor ERP or related ERP/MRP software and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP, for data analysis.
• Strong ability to ensure the highest‑quality client experience by monitoring project processes for time, resource efficiency, cost management, and process improvement opportunities.
• Self‑directed, motivated, and able to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship‑building skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred (combination of education and experience will be considered).
• Minimum of 2+ years of account or project management experience.
• Extensive experience supporting customer initiatives with a proven record of high customer satisfaction.
• High‑level technical expertise to support and enhance new design and value‑engineering efforts.
• Demonstrated understanding of store fixture manufacturing processes.

• Must be able to travel regionally up to 25% of the time.
• Work schedules may vary based on business needs.
• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard and read various materials.
• Capacity to sit and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to carry and lift materials up to 25 pounds.
