Position: APM Assistant Project Manager (Mechanical Construction) - ONSITE

Job Title

Assistant Project Manager - APM (on-site)

Responsibilities
  • Work with Superintendents, Foremen, Journeymen, Project Managers and Department Managers to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with projects.
  • Perform administrative tasks as required, including preparing estimates and invoices and keeping track of the project's progress.
  • Write Purchase Orders on behalf of Project Manager.
  • Create and maintain project job folders.
  • Continuously develop relationships to identify and cultivate opportunities.
  • Submit approved documents to General Contractor and track progress.
  • Request and maintain necessary Certificate of Insurance (COIs).
  • Verify schedules with Project Managers and General Contractors.
  • Maintain start-up log with Project Manager to inform Service team.
  • Plan and schedule resources to meet project demands.
  • Provide regular updates of project statuses to Project Managers and Upper Management.
  • Travel to jobsites on a regular basis to oversee projects.
  • Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
  • Communicate with customer/contractor during the project.
  • Run reports on projects, tracking cost and billing.
  • Participate in department meetings as requested.
  • Attend job walks, team meetings, and site visits.
  • Perform additional assignments as requested and maintain a teamwork attitude.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must have knowledge of the appropriate codes and standards which govern design and operating requirements.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information.
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks.
