Position Summary

Crescent Constructors, Inc. is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to provide leadership and oversight of field operations across water, wastewater, and heavy civil construction projects. The General Superintendent is responsible for driving safe and efficient project execution while providing leadership to Superintendents, Foremen, craft personnel, and subcontractors. This role works closely with project management and operations leadership to ensure manpower, equipment, schedules, quality, and field resources are effectively coordinated to meet project goals.

The ideal candidate is a proven construction leader with extensive water and wastewater experience and a strong ability to develop field teams, solve complex construction challenges, and drive projects from planning through successful completion.

What You'll Do
  • Provide overall field leadership and operational oversight for water, wastewater, and heavy civil construction projects
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and other resources across projects to support operational needs and schedules
  • Work closely with project teams to develop construction plans, sequencing, schedules, and execution strategies
  • Monitor project progress, productivity, and field performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Ensure construction activities are performed in accordance with plans, specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards
  • Provide technical and operational guidance to field teams and assist with resolving complex construction challenges
  • Partner with Project Managers and operations leadership to identify project risks and develop solutions
  • Ensure Superintendents and field teams maintain accurate planning, reporting, and project documentation
  • Support project startup, mobilization, site logistics, major work activities, and project closeout
  • Promote consistent field practices and operational standards across projects
  • Ensure company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements are followed
  • Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety, accountability, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Perform additional duties as required to support project and company operations
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive field construction experience, including significant leadership experience as a Superintendent or General Superintendent
  • Extensive experience with water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, pipelines, and related heavy civil infrastructure
  • Proven ability to lead multiple Superintendents, Foremen, crews, and subcontractors on complex construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of water and wastewater construction means, methods, sequencing, and field operations
  • Experience managing self-perform construction activities including concrete, underground piping, mechanical systems, earthwork, and related scopes
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, manpower planning, productivity, cost awareness, and resource management
  • Strong knowledge of jobsite safety requirements, quality control, and construction best practices
  • Proven ability to identify field challenges, develop solutions, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with project teams, field personnel, subcontractors, owners, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including prolonged standing, walking, climbing, and navigating active construction sites
