Technical Designer

Red Elephant is seeking an experienced Technical Designer to join our dynamic team in the architectural signage industry. This role requires excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills with strong conceptual thinking, visual communication skills, and a keen eye for problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating detailed technical drawings and plans. An interest in architecture, manufacturing and materials is a plus.

In this role, an understanding of architectural drawing scales and the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings are essential. A passion for manufacturing, fabrication methods, and materials is highly desirable.

• Develop detailed technical/shop drawings and plans based on provided designs.
• Research and select appropriate materials and methods to meet project requirements and specifications.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Prepare project documentation utilizing software such as Adobe Creative Suite, and Sign Agent.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the project team.

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Architectural Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting or detailing.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign) and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of architectural and construction principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with architectural signage and architectural graphics is a significant plus.
