Electronics Engineer, Test Engineer, Systems Engineer
We're a fast-growing startup building high-speed optical transceivers for Data Center Interconnect, HPC, and AI applications, hiring a Test Engineer to help transition our optical and electronic hardware from R&D into production — developing test plans, building automated test systems (primarily in C#/.NET), and troubleshooting issues from the bench to the production floor.
What You'll DoDevelop and execute DVT, characterization, and production test plans for electronic and electro-optical systems. Build and maintain test automation software in C#/.NET, interfacing with lab instrumentation via SCPI, USB, TCP/IP, and RS-232. Design and validate test stations for prototype and high-volume production. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and test system issues and drive root cause analysis. Support NPI activities and train production teams on test systems.
WhatYou'll Bring
Bachelor's in EE, Computer Engineering, CS, or related field. 5+ years in electronics test engineering, validation, or ATE. Strong C#/.NET test automation development experience (required).
Prior hands-on experience with optical or electro-optical systems required — photodiodes, optical amplifiers, wave guides, OSAs, VOAs, or power meters. Understanding of signal processing, ADC/DAC systems, microcontrollers, and protocols like SPI, UART, I2C/I3C. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
RF/high-speed signal testing, PRBS/BERT, optical FEC concepts, NI-VISA/Keysight/Anritsu instrumentation, NPI support, Python.
Onsite, manufacturing/cleanroom/lab setting in North DFW. Comfortable gowning up for cleanroom work, standing/sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs.
Competitive salary, health insurance, 401(k), PTO, and professional development.
