We are seeking experienced Credit Balance Specialists to join our dynamic team. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for detail-oriented professionals with a strong background in healthcare credit balance resolution, insurance refunds, and payer research.

This role features a hybrid schedule:

Remote:
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays

Onsite (Lewisville, TX):
Wednesdays and Thursdays

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and resolve credit balances in assigned work queues
• Coordinate benefits and update missing or outdated insurance coverage
• Research and respond to internal/external refund inquiries
• Identify and escalate payer-specific trends
• Post approved adjustments and resolve unidentified payments
• Maintain clear, complete, and accurate account notes
• Participate in payer/provider calls and document meeting minutes
• Assist in mentoring and training new employees
• Complete special reports and tasks as assigned by leadership

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 2+ years of recent credit balance experience in healthcare
• Experience with insurance and patient refunds, adjustments, and payer policies
• Strong knowledge of primary and secondary insurances
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel

Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm
