Payroll Specialist

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Lewisville, Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience managing full-cycle payroll processes in a construction industry setting, demonstrating exceptional accuracy and organizational skills. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle diverse payroll tasks while supporting both accounting and human resources functions.

Responsibilities:

- Process weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Audit timesheets and verify job codes to maintain compliance with company standards.

- Manage deductions, garnishments, and payroll adjustments in accordance with regulations.

- Assist with payroll audits and provide detailed reports as needed.

- Collaborate with accounting to support payroll-related activities and resolve discrepancies.

- Serve as a backup for HR in payroll-related tasks.

- Utilize Sage or similar payroll systems to execute payroll functions effectively.

- Provide bilingual Spanish support, if applicable, to enhance communication and service.

- Maintain organized records and documentation for payroll compliance and reporting.

Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll, preferably in the construction industry.

- Proficiency in Sage or similar payroll software

- Strong understanding of payroll processes, including garnishments, deductions, and adjustments.

- Ability to audit timesheets and manage job codes accurately.

- Experience handling certified payroll is preferred.

- Bilingual Spanish skills are highly advantageous.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with accounting and HR departments.
