Ally designates roles as (1) fully on‑site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Our analytics community has hundreds of analytics professionals across Ally in communities focused on business analytics, data science, R, Python, Power BI and more and continues to grow every day.
The Technology and Digital organization is deploying our new Cloud Computing platform to accelerate and expand our digital capability. We’re looking for a passionate analytics professional with great communication skills to support this transition. This person will execute quantitative analysis and problem solving to develop in‑depth business‑relevant insights, scenario‑based assumptions and forward‑looking analysis. They will utilize data from databases, internal reports, market/business trends, and/or financial statements in their analysis.
They will play an integral role in strategy development and associated risk management, mentor developing analytics professionals, and collaborate with other analytics teams to build capability. - Independently interface with key stakeholders to provide timely and accurate analysis that drives business objectives and targets
- Perform analysis to drive change within the business
- Identify, quantify and propose risk/reward trade‑offs of recommendations
- Develop strategy and associated performance analysis that achieve business objectives and results
- Apply knowledge of business and balanced judgment in the interpretation of data
- Provide analytical and data support in the design and review of strategy tests and current operations
- Lead analytics projects that require technical sophistication and the ability to navigate ambiguity
- Perform ad‑hoc analysis and quickly provide results and recommendations
- Engage in a culture of Diversity and Inclusion
- 3+ years experience in a similar analytics position required
- High school diploma required;
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred - Banking, financial services, and/or analytic experience preferred
- Independent thought and work

- Knowledge of processes, systems, and technology to coordinate implementation of change
- Intermediate technical skills with Excel and/or analysis software
