IT Project Manager – VMware​/Hypervisor Migration

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead VMware and Hypervisor migration initiatives in a complex enterprise environment. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing infrastructure and workload migrations across data center, hybrid, and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure projects, stakeholder management, migration planning, risk mitigation, and cross-functional team coordination.

• Lead end-to-end VMware and Hypervisor migration projects.
• Manage migration planning, scheduling, cutover activities, validation testing, and rollback procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, status reports, and risk registers.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address issues, dependencies, and risks.
• Facilitate change management and ensure adherence to organizational processes and standards.
• Support workload migrations across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Drive project meetings, stakeholder communications, and executive reporting.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within scope.

• 5+ years of IT Project Management experience.
• Experience managing VMware, Hypervisor, virtualization, infrastructure, or data center migration projects.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure environments, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.
• Experience coordinating migration activities, cutovers, validation testing, and rollback planning.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

• Experience with cloud migration or hybrid cloud environments.
• PMP, Agile, Scrum, or other project management certifications.
• Experience working in large enterprise or telecommunications environments.
• Familiarity with change management and IT service management processes.
