The Encompass Group is partnering with a privately owned aviation aftermarket company that has been serving customers worldwide for more than 20 years. As the company continues to expand its capabilities and product offerings, they are seeking a Customer & Vendor Relations Specialist to join their growing team.
Position SummaryThe Customer & Vendor Relations Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and repair facilities throughout the aircraft parts lifecycle. This role is responsible for building strong relationships, sourcing aircraft components, coordinating repairs, negotiating pricing and lead times, and ensuring customers receive timely updates from quote to delivery.

Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, repair facilities, OEMs, and distributors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing updates on part availability, repair status, and delivery timelines.
- Source aircraft engine components and negotiate pricing, lead times, and purchasing terms with vendors.
- Coordinate repairs with outside repair facilities while tracking turnaround times and deliveries.
- Prepare customer quotes, process purchase orders, and support commercial sales activities.
- Manage the movement of aircraft engine piece parts through inventory, repair, and customer fulfillment.
- Expedite AOG (Aircraft on Ground) requests to minimize customer downtime.
- Assist with purchasing, inventory planning, and operational decision‑making.
- Develop expertise in aircraft engine platforms, repair processes, and product applications to become a trusted resource for customers and colleagues.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows while supporting the continued growth of the business.
- Experience in customer service, account management, vendor relations, procurement, purchasing, inside sales, supply chain, or operations.
- Background in aviation, aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, industrial distribution, heavy equipment, engine repair, or similar mechanical industries preferred.
- Proven ability to build relationships and communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Experience negotiating pricing, coordinating orders, or managing vendor relationships is required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning aircraft engine products and repair processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP or Salesforce experience is a plus.
