Facilities Maintenance Technician

ABC Home and Commercial Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented janitor to support the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our commercial properties. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a positive experience for all who use our facilities.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors; clean windows, walls, and other surfaces
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles, ensuring proper disposal and sanitation
• Sanitize and restock restrooms with appropriate supplies
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and shared equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas, including walkways, parking lots, and building entrances
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and minor repairs
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies; notify management of inventory needs
• Follow all safety procedures and promptly report hazards or property damage
• Assist with warehouse inventory by receiving, organizing, and tracking supplies and equipment; support regular inventory audits and report discrepancies
• Clean and maintain commercial properties in Lewisville and Plano on a weekly basis; travel to Tyler, Texas on a quarterly basis
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including availability for early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Capability to perform repetitive tasks and operate standard cleaning equipment
• Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and exposure to cleaning agents

• Operate a company vehicle to travel to Tyler on a quarterly basis or as needed.
• Drive safely and in compliance with all applicable traffic laws and company safety standards
• Perform basic vehicle upkeep, including monitoring tire condition, brakes, and oil changes
• Adhere to company vehicle usage policies and maintain a clean driving record
• Report any vehicle accidents to the Safety Manager within one hour of occurrence
• Maintain a valid Texas driver’s license and provide updated documentation to Human Resources as required
• A company vehicle may be assigned for take-home use and will be available for work-related travel between locations

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a commercial janitor using cleaning equipment
• Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure thorough and consistent cleaning standards
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, and safety practices
• Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Availability to work a flexible and changing schedule
• Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record required

• Pay- $17.00 per hour
