Responsibilities
- Open supply boxes, place component parts and supplies in the proper location on the production line, and accurately process material returns in the Mary Kay Business Systems. Verify counts to ensure inventory integrity; assist in inspecting products for defects before and after assembly; mark and transport rejects to the crusher area for destruction.
- Operate a pallet jack to move completed pallets to the finished goods area safely.
- Cleans and sanitizes processing equipment—including pumps, parts, hoses, gaskets, kettles, metal and poly drums, and plastic containers—following defined standard operating procedures.
- Disassembles, sanitizes, and reassembles processing equipment such as pumps, colloid mills, and portable tanks; cleans hoses and portable tanks using the clean‑in‑place (CIP) system; and transports sanitized equipment to the proper area.
- Participate in setup, sanitization verification, daily startup, tuning, changeover, and preventive maintenance to ensure proper operation of machinery. Package individual sanitized parts, attach sanitization labels, fill out required documentation, monitor expiration dates, and resanitize expired equipment as needed.
- Contribute to simplified and standardized workplace practices, maintain safety standards, and help achieve world‑class performance and continuous improvement goals.
- High school diploma required.
- Preferred:
One year of manufacturing experience. - Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English instructions; ability to communicate information clearly.
- Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) demonstrated by a math test; ability to perform calculations for requisitions, material returns, and inventory discrepancies.
- Basic PC skills in a Windows environment; data entry skills for operating Mary Kay Inc. Business Systems.
- Team orientation and participation in meetings, discussions, and problem‑solving activities.
- Knowledge of safety rules and regulations applicable to the production lines and packaging floor.
- Attention to detail for accurate component selection, coding, and inventory monitoring.
- Visual inspection skills for component parts, day codes, labeling, and product matching to cartons.
- Physical ability to stoop, lift, bend, and move up to 50 lbs; to stand and walk ≈50% of the time; to climb step ladders and platforms; and to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.
- Capacity to sit or stand for long periods and walk frequently while packing, inspecting, and feeding components to the production line.
- Compliance with all production, quality, and safety standards set by the department.
- Start wage: $17 per hour.
- Work hours:
5:50 AM – 6:20 PM. - Regular workdays:
Thursday to Saturday. - Job grade: 04 – Nonexempt 36 Hour.
Shift or schedule changes may be necessary to meet changing business needs.
