Multiquip is seeking a hands‑on, safety‑focused Trailer Assembler I to join our team! In this role, you ll work to assemble construction machines and equipment, including but not limited to mounting, drilling, grinding, altering, and aligning assemblies and subassemblies.

Responsibilities- Read and follow assembly instructions, engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine parts and sequence of operations.
- Gather required parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials before starting work.
- Use hand and power tools to file, buff, lap, and fit components with precision.
- Drill, tap, ream, countersink, and spot-face bolt holes using drill presses and portable power drills.
- Align, position, and adjust parts for accurate fitting and final assembly.
- Inspect and test completed units to ensure proper fit, tolerances, and compliance with specifications.
- Identify and resolve assembly problems by modifying parts within allowable tolerances and escalating as needed.
- Apply nameplates and identifying information to completed units.
- Support the team by assisting with other assembly tasks and cross‑functional duties as required.
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and organized work environment by following all safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- At least 6 months to 1 year of mechanical or fabrication experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read and follow blueprints, technical diagrams, and written work instructions.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn how to operate hand tools and power tools.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
- Self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced setting.
- This position is performed in a non‑climate‑controlled industrial warehouse setting with exposure to loud noise, moving equipment, and temperature fluctuations. PPE will be provided and required.
- Must be able to stand and walk up to 8–10 hours per shift.
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and reaching.
- Regular lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity to handle tools and materials with precision.
- Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding, high‑activity environment.
