An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, highly skilled, and innovative individual to join our dynamic engineering team as a Permanent CNC Toolmaker/Shop Manager. This role offers a chance to work with cutting‑edge technology and machinery, providing a platform for the successful candidate to showcase their skills, creativity, and passion for precision engineering. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of our CNC shop, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of the CNC shop, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety and quality standards.Program, set up, and operate 4‑5 axis CNC machines to produce precision parts and tools.Use AutoCAD and other CAD software to design and modify parts and fixtures.Create and optimize CNC programs for new and existing parts.Develop and implement CNC fixturing strategies to enhance efficiency and precision.Manage the maintenance, repair, and replacement of machinery and equipment.Lead, train, and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Work closely with other departments to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to increase productivity and quality.Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the engineering industry.Extensive experience with 4‑5 axis CNC machines, including programming, setup, and operation.Proficiency in AutoCAD, CAD, and other relevant software.Experience with CNC fixturing and a strong understanding of its principles and applications.Strong technical background with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of motivating and developing a high‑performing team.Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Degree in engineering or a related field preferred but not essential.Equal Opportunity Employment
