Job Overview
Monthly Performance Bonus Opportunity of up to $500. Working: 2nd Shift 2:00pm - 10:00pm. Training: 1st Shift 6:00am - 2:00pm. Fortis Solutions Group is seeking a skilled Flexo Press Operator with experience in pressure‑sensitive label production, shrink sleeves, hot stamp, and cold‑foil applications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform typical press operations to support the production department.
- Review the job ticket and work with the Press Helper to ensure the job is set up properly on the press per required specifications and job notes (ink, dies, stock, plates).
- Run the job setup on the press and log data related to the job setup in the system.
- Run the job per specifications and log completion, noting material used, etc.
- While operating the press, review printed rolls for quality and consistency related to all aspects of the labels including color registration and die cut.
- After completion, move the finished roll to the finishing department and break down and clean the machine in preparation for the next job.
- Communicate with the Shift Supervisor and/or Production Manager regarding any issues with the labels and dies.
- Ensure proper data collection for each job, including job notes on material and time variance.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of the press together with the Press Helper and Supervisor.
- Maintain the work area and machines in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed company policies and safety regulations.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities and participate in additional press‑operator training when offered or needed.

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years of press operator or printing‑related production experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be proactive and detail oriented to catch problems or inconsistencies and bring them to management’s attention.
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple different labels each day.
- Knowledge of press operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Should be mechanically inclined to grasp the basics of press operation and maintenance.

- Willing to attend required training courses or sessions related to the job as assigned.
- Constant lifting, standing, crouching, walking, and associated repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and up to 75 lbs with assistance.
- Pass a pre‑employment drug test and be subject to random drug screening.
- Regular exposure to dust and noise in the production environment.
- Warehouse temperatures may be influenced by outside temperatures.
- Regular skin and clothing exposure to ink.
- Safety shoes and eye protection are highly recommended in the production area. Some plants may require additional PPE, including hair/beard nets and hearing protection.
