Job Summary And Qualifications
  • As the Director of Acute and Critical Care, you will be responsible for the overall quality and operational activities of Ortho Trauma, PCU, ICU, and Surgical Telemetry departments.
  • You will ensure the planning, directing, controlling and evaluation of the departments and hospital operations related to these departments.
  • You will perform responsibilities in accordance with hospital goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
  • You will be responsible for the clinical, operational and financial management of the departments.
  • You will ensure appropriate clinical standards; policies and procedures are developed and implemented.
  • You will develop and review monitoring activities related to the quality of nursing care provided.
  • You will ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting agencies.
  • You will oversee the unit’s operation to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of care and to maximize patient, physician, and employee satisfaction.
  • You will manage the unit in accordance with established financial guidelines.
Qualifications

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Current RN license to practice in the state of Texas.
  • BLS certification from approved HCA vendor.
  • Professional Nursing Certification.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
  • Master’s degree preferred or currently enrolled in a Master’s program and must complete within 2 years of entering position.

Experience:

  • 2 years of experience as a staff nurse in a hospital setting.
  • Minimum 1 year of management/supervisory experience.

Medical City Lewisville is a full-service 190+ bed medical and surgical facility. We offer a broad spectrum of care to the communities of southern Denton County. Our patient tower has two floors dedicated to women’s services. We have a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Medical City Lewisville is a Level III Trauma Center and a Primary Stroke Center.
