Job Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing – Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13‑week assignment in Lewisville, Texas, with 12‑hour night shifts and 36 hours per week.

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, focusing on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and aids physicians during cardiac‑related procedures and examinations.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisors or physicians of patient status and responses to interventions.
• Responds to life‑saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education plans according to individualized needs, focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records and client information.
• Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
• Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection‑control guidelines, and regulatory standards.

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA/ARC).
• Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and critical‑thinking skills.
• Proficiency in English language reading, writing, and computer skills.

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Additional certifications and licenses may be required.
