• Assists store customers in selecting and purchasing items.
• Operates and maintains a cash register; collects monies, counts change, and prepares receipts.
• Balances the cash register drawer and prints routine register print‑outs.
• Prepares and delivers bank deposits.
• Responds to customer questions and assists customers who are donating items.
• Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of merchandise and displays.
• Maintains the neatness and security of the cash register area; secures merchandise and the cash register.
• Cleans display racks and shelves; sweeps and mops floors; cleans windows, mirrors, and helps maintain overall store cleanliness.
• Answers the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner.

• High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred; experience working in a retail store preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
