Sales Representative

Position Overview

Superior Floors is seeking a relationship-driven Sales Representative to develop, retain, and grow multifamily customer accounts throughout the DFW area. This position combines outside sales, account management, consultative selling, pricing, and operational follow-through.

The Sales Representative serves as the primary commercial partner for assigned customers, building trusted relationships while identifying opportunities for flooring replacements, upgrades, unit turns, renovations, capital projects, and additional services.

Success requires more than generating sales. This role must understand each customer’s properties and flooring needs, maintain accurate account information, protect company profitability, communicate commitments clearly, and collaborate with internal teams to provide an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build professional relationships with property managers, regional managers, maintenance teams, ownership groups, and other decision-makers.
  • Maintain a consistent field presence through property visits, customer meetings, site walks, networking, and service follow-up.
  • Prospect for new multifamily customers through referrals, field outreach, industry relationships, and disciplined follow-up.
  • Develop account plans supporting sales growth, gross profit, customer retention, and new business goals.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend solutions based on Superior Floors’ products and service capabilities.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide dependable forecasts, next steps, and updates to the Sales Director.
  • Create or coordinate accurate quotes, price sheets, proposals, and other customer-facing materials.
  • Follow approved pricing, products, and terms while obtaining authorization for discounts, exceptions, or nonstandard commitments.
  • Understand how product, labor, floor preparation, freight, trip charges, credits, and service decisions affect profitability.
  • Maintain accurate floor plans, measurements, pricing, product selections, customer contacts, and property information.
  • Coordinate new measurements and remeasurements and ensure updated information is available to the appropriate teams.
  • Provide complete information needed to schedule, install, invoice, and close customer work.
  • Communicate customer commitments, job changes, access restrictions, special instructions, and installation concerns promptly.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Installation, Warehouse, Credit, Accounting, and leadership to resolve issues and prevent recurring problems.
  • Assist with billing questions, disputed invoices, past-due balances, and customer documentation without making unauthorized credits or payment arrangements.
  • Maintain ownership of customer commitments until they are completed, documented, or properly handed off.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of experience in outside sales, account management, customer service, property management, flooring, building products, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, manage multiple accounts, and meet time-sensitive commitments.
  • Strong communication, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office, customer management systems, and mobile technology.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout DFW.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience serving multifamily properties, property management companies, construction customers, or commercial accounts.
  • Knowledge of flooring products, estimating, measurements, or installation processes.
  • Established relationships within the DFW multifamily industry.
  • Experience with RFMS or similar business systems.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.

The ideal candidate is accountable, proactive, adaptable, organized, and committed to building strong customer relationships while supporting profitable growth.
