Position Overview

The Regional Manager of Loss Prevention assesses and mitigates both external and internal shrink for the assigned districts through the management of policies, procedures, programs, systems, and to conduct internal investigations into, fraud, abuse, or other misconduct. The Regional Manager of Loss Prevention will manage a team of 8 to 11 District Loss Prevention Managers to drive results in mitigating all sources of company shrink;

including internal theft, shoplifting, fraud, product damage, safety vulnerabilities, and all other sources of Company shrink, risk, and security.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead Company efforts to control all sources of shrink, and advocate the importance of shrink control in all aspects of business operations.
  • Constantly implement and improve techniques and strategies to reduce Company shrink.
  • Conduct and oversee investigations where necessary and execute appropriate action following investigations for their assigned districts.
  • Ensure compliance with key company standards of loss prevention, safety, facility maintenance, and postings/notifications.
  • Develop and execute plans for all coaching, training and development of Loss Protection department.
  • Develop and support a team-oriented environment with the DLPM’s and Stores.
  • Participate with the interview, selection, and onboarding processes for District Loss Prevention candidates.
  • Partner with Regional Store Directors for profit improvement initiatives
  • Oversee Workers’ Compensation, General and Product Liability claims and paperwork for assigned districts
  • Administer all Loss Prevention requirements for new stores
  • Insure all security equipment used in the stores including camera systems, digital video recorders, fire and burglar alarms, safes are tested and in good working condition.
  • Ensure Asset Protection training takes place with all store management and associates.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Loss Prevention managers in designated region, ensuring that all team members are completely focused on reducing shrink and competent in the foundations of Loss Prevention.
  • Guide team members to drive results in all key Loss Prevention metrics, Company goals, and overall Company profitability and efficiency.
  • Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Higher education, including two and four year degrees related to criminal justice required.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in loss prevention in a retail service-oriented business, or demonstration of skills and learning through an internal development program and selection process.
  • Ability to effectively manage in a professional work environment.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Efficient planning, prioritization and implementation of detailed instructions.
  • Ability to learn and communicate new information and processes to all associates within company standards.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Prior experience managing LP associates.
  • WZ/Reid interviewing certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent travel to stores and distribution centers including overnight stay is required.
