Swing Reach Forklift Operator

This role operates a variety of forklifts and material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products in a clean, climate-controlled distribution environment. The Forklift Operator ensures safe, accurate, and efficient handling of inventory and supports overall warehouse operations by performing additional tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate swing-reach forklifts for the majority of the shift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products safely and efficiently.
  • Use sit-down and stand-up forklifts, as required, to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility.
  • Follow all forklift safety procedures and complete required forklift safety training before operating any equipment.
  • Inspect forklifts and related equipment before use, reporting any issues or safety concerns promptly.
  • Handle products with care to prevent damage while stacking, storing, and retrieving items.
  • Maintain accurate counts of products and assist with inventory control activities as needed.
  • Work efficiently to meet productivity goals while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Adhere to all facility rules, including attendance policies and metal-free requirements.
  • Support peak-period operations, including full commitment during the month of December, which may include weekend work.
  • Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned to support overall operations.

Essential Skills

  • Mandatory swing-reach forklift experience, with at least 1 year of recent hands-on operation.
  • 1–2 years of overall forklift experience preferred, including sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts.
  • Previously obtained forklift certification.
  • Ability to safely operate swing-reach forklifts for the majority of the shift.
  • Capability to load, unload, and move materials using various types of forklifts.
  • Strong commitment to safety procedures and adherence to forklift safety training.
  • Ability to follow facility policies, including attendance and metal-free requirements.
  • Willingness and availability to be fully committed during December, including potential weekend shifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Comfort working on a swing-reach forklift for approximately 60% or more of the time.
  • Willingness to complete company-provided GO1 Forklift Safety Training during the first 1–3 days on assignment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Attention to detail when counting, stacking, and handling products.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent operations.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, climate-controlled warehouse facility that operates on a 1st shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. New hires complete 1–3 days of structured forklift safety training before operating any equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
